Gary P. Alberini
Gary P. Alberini, a resident of Plainfield since 1975. Born October 22, 1943, he passed away peacefully on August 27, 2010 at his home with his family at his side.
Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 9 years, Virginia “Ginny”, nee Winans; his children, Nicholas (Christina) Alberini of Plainfield and Amanda Alberini of Shorewood; his grandchildren, Tyler and Carter Alberini; his sisters, Gail Alberini and Elisabet Alberini; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of good friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Alberini; and his parents, Hugo and Vieno Alberini.
Gary graduated from Fenger High School, Chicago, and then honorably served his country as a member of the US Army. He was a dedicated employee of Metropolitan Industries, Romeoville, and retired in August of 2010 after 36 years. He enjoyed fishing and his man fishing trips with his friends. He loved a round of golf and the occasional card game with his buddies or taking the love of his life to the movies. The cruise he took to Alaska with friends was truly memorable. He was also a member of the Plainfield United Methodist Church. Above all else, Gary lived for his family and was extremely proud of their many accomplishments. He loved spending time with his grandsons and cheering them on at their many sporting events.
Visitation was Tuesday, August 31, at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, Plainfield. Funeral Services were Wednesday, September 1 at the Plainfield United Methodist Church, 15114 S. Illinois St, Plainfield. Interment is private.
Dorothy Wadsworth
Dorothy Wadsworth, 93, long time resident of Plainfield passed away August 10, 2010. Dorothy grew up in Joliet and attended Joliet Township High School. Soon after marrying Glenn Wadsworth the couple moved to Plainfield. She was employed at Jones Hardware Store in downtown Plainfield. For the six years she was a resident of Lakewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral service was held on August 13, 2010 at Elmhurst Cemetery with Rev. William Beagle officiating. Preceded in death by her husband, Glenn, an infant daughter, Jud, son, Glenn (Skip) Jr., and grandson, Eric.
She was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church. In her younger years, Dorothy enjoyed sailing and fishing trips with husband, Glenn. Dorothy cherished her close friends and was a member of a weekly pinochle club. She was known in her circle as a prolific poet. Dorothy was very creative and took great pride in reciting and composing verses on several themes. She leaves behind hundreds of lovely poems penned in her hand as her legacy.

Age 71, a resident of Plainfield, IL since 1979. Born October 6, 1938, she passed away peacefully on August 19, 2010 at Rush-Copley Medical Center, Aurora.
For those who prefer, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated. Visitation was Monday, Aug. 23, at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, Plainfield, Ill. Funeral Services were Tuesday, Aug. 24, at St. John Lutheran Church, 2650 Plainfield Road, Joliet. Interment: Mt. Auburn Memorial Park, Stickney.

JUDY, CAROLYN E.
Age 87, a sixty year resident of Plainfield, IL, at rest Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from complications associated with Parkinsons’ Disease. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 2050 Pfingsten Road, Suite 127, Glenview, IL 60026 or the Plainfield Lion’s Club.
Visitation was Friday, August 20, 2010 at Overman-Jones Funeral Home with funeral services following. Interment at the Plainfield Township Cemetery in Plainfield, IL.
